Two Cricket Lovers
Derick has two loves in his life; his wife and (grand)children … and cricket. He has been playing cricket as a young boy till his mid-sixties. Meanwhile he has retired as an opening batsmen and enjoys his cricket by following his club Quick, his touring team the Roosters and The Netherlands national team.
All year round he is in touch with international cricket watching Test Cricket, ODI’s andT20’s online. Every summer he visits the United Kingdom with cricket friends to watch live cricket. He is a keen reader of cricket books and has compiled a personal library of more than 400 books.
Together with his cricket buddy, Lucas, he has created the 2 Overs Dice Test Cricket Game.
Lucas started playing cricket at the age of six and continued to play for more than forty years as an opening bowler and a forcing batsman. Not on a competitive level, but also, just like Derick, touring the world to play and watch cricket.
The playing days are over, but he visits the UK still yearly with to watch cricket with friends. He follows keenly the games of the first teams (Men and Women) of his club Quick and enjoys watching his mates playing when touring with The Roosters.
